The Rep Guide

About The Rep Guide

Straight answers for people who lift — with the answer first, not after eight paragraphs.

Most fitness pages bury the thing you came for. You search for a dumbbell workout and get six paragraphs on the history of resistance training before anyone names an exercise.

The Rep Guide is built the other way round. Every guide puts the answer — the actual lifts, the actual sets and reps, the actual numbers — in the first screen. The explanation comes after, for the people who want it.

Who this is for

Beginners and intermediates who train because they want to get stronger and look like it, and who would rather run one plan properly for eight weeks than collect twenty.

How these guides are written

Each guide is built around one question people actually search for. We work from established training principles — progressive overload, the five basic movement patterns, sensible volume — rather than whatever is trending. Programs are written to be run by someone training alone, without a coach watching their form.

When we get something wrong, we change it and move the updated date.

How this site makes money

Two ways, both disclosed: display advertising, and affiliate commissions on some outbound links. Neither changes what we recommend. If we say a cheap option is fine, it is because it is fine. Details are on our privacy page.
